Dolphin Suites & Wellness donates interior to Hamied Foundation

July 11, 2024 Making an impact is the most important thing for Dolphin Suites hotel in everything they do. That's why the hotel celebrated the opening of its new wing earlier this year. But they didn't stop there. Over the past two months, the hotel renovated the old wing. And what do you do with the old furnishings? They lovingly donated them to the Hamied Foundation, which can make good use of the furniture for the decoration of its care facilities.

Dolphin Suites painted the old section, took care of the plumbing and electrical work, and upgraded the air conditioning systems. With such a thorough approach, a stylish interior was a must. The twelve suites, two studios, six rooms, and an apartment in the old wing now look just as sleek as the newest wing. The hotel is whole and ready to welcome guests in the upcoming high season.

They have fully donated the furniture from the old wing to the Hamied Foundation. This foundation works for the welfare of various groups in our community, particularly focusing on the health and care of the elderly. Recently, the foundation was also approached to accommodate young people who, for various reasons, need to live in the care center.

"The furniture is very useful to us!," says Tessa de Haas, Director of the Hamied Foundation. "Especially the beds for our Hospice (terminal care), where family members can easily stay overnight. But also for the rooms we need to furnish for the children and youth. We are very grateful for the support of Dolphin Suites."

Yesterday, Dolphin Suites delivered two full containers to the location of Hamied on Jan Noorduynweg. A group of volunteers unloaded the containers, and many pieces of furniture have already found a beautiful place in one of the care facilities of the Hamied Foundation.
